Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) has opened its first branch in Broward County in the Miramar Park Place shopping center located at the northwest corner of Red Road and Miramar Parkway. EdFed opened its eighth location in response to rapid member growth the organization has experienced in recent years.
“We are extremely proud to join the Miramar business community and offer our members a new level of convenience with this branch,” said Michael DiBenedetto, President and CEO. “This location not only serves our existing members in Broward but will support the continued growth of our credit union in the years ahead,” DiBenedetto continued.
EdFed’s new Miramar Park Place branch boasts modern amenities including a community room to host financial educational seminars for those within the community.
“Our Board of Directors is excited to open our doors to Broward County,” said EdFed Board Chair Claude Archer. “This represents a significant milestone in our efforts to expand branch services to better support our growing membership,” Archer continued.
EdFed hosted a ribbon-cutting celebration on May 18 to commemorate the grand opening. The credit union is planning special promotions to help celebrate the new location.
