Miami-Dade County Public School remains an A-rated school district

The Florida Department of Education recently released the school grades for the 2023-24 school year and Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) is once again an “A-rated” district.

Following is a summary of the School Performance Grades for Miami-Dade County Public Schools in 2023-2024:
• For the fifth consecutive year, M-DCPS has achieved a districtwide grade of “A.”
• M-DCPS was ranked eighth among the state’s 67 districts, based on the number of total points earned toward the district grade.
• Overall, 99 percent of M-DCPS schools received School Grades of A, B, or C in 2024:
• 54 percent received grades of A.
• 28 percent received grades of B.
• 17 percent received grades of C.

“This shows that we have a consistent track record of excellence in our school district as a result of the incredible work of our students, teachers, support staff, school leaders, and district leaders. And this is what we owe our community — high-rated schools and the best educational opportunities possible. We are the best choice,” said schools superintendent Dr. Jose L. Dotres.
