The Alhambra Orchestra, led by artistic director Daniel Andai, presents an unforgettable celebration of Hispanic composers including Lecuona, Rodrigo, Sarasate, Tarrega and more, featuring the Guitar Concerto by Villa-Lobos with soloist Koh Kazama, a professor at New World School of the Arts.
Performances are Saturday, Sept. 28, 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m., in the Sanctuary of the Arts, 410 Andalusia Ave., Coral Gables 33134.
Attendees will enjoy hearing flutist Carol Naveira-Nicholson in a work by Rodrigo, and violinists Steffen Zeichner and Daniel Andai in a virtuosic duet by Sarasate. Plus, of course, there will be rousing popular Latin melodies.
The Alhambra Orchestra is Miami’s community orchestra, presenting live classical performances in affordable, convenient venues.
