Miami city manager Art Noriega V has announced the promotion of Tamara Allen Frost to the position of director of zoning/zoning administrator.
Frost possesses more than 18 years of experience in zoning. In her previous role as assistant director of Zoning, Frost demonstrated her expertise in urban planning and zoning management, steering critical initiatives, and ensuring regulatory compliance. In addition, she has worked in various municipalities within the planning and zoning field which include the City of Apopka, City of Parkland, City of Atlanta, and the City of Riverdale.
Frost holds a master’s degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University and a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Florida A&M University. She also is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
Her commitment to advancing urban planning and zoning management through strategic leadership, legislative advocacy, and stakeholder collaboration will contribute to the continued growth and well-being of the City of Miami and make her an invaluable addition to the city’s leadership team.
