The City of Homestead recently unveiled a new logo at the annual Race to the 4th event, celebrating America’s upcoming 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, set to take place in 2026.
The new logo was unveiled before the fireworks of the city’s July 4 annual celebration with a special video message from Mayor Steve Losner.
The Race to the 4th event, held at the Homestead-Miami Speedway, was a spectacular celebration filled with patriotism, community spirit, and excitement as thousands of attendees celebrated America’s birthday.
The unveiling of the logo was a highlight of the evening, symbolizing the city’s commitment to commemorating this significant milestone in our nation’s history. Designed to capture the essence of America’s rich heritage and Homestead’s unique spirit, the logo features elements that pay homage to the enduring values of freedom, unity, and resilience.
“We are excited to introduce this special logo as we join the nation in celebrating 250 years of independence,” Mayor Losner said. “This logo not only commemorates our past but also represents our hope for the future – a future where we come together as a community and renew our commitment to the principles that define our great nation.”
The Race to the 4th event was a fitting backdrop for this unveiling, drawing residents and visitors for an evening of live music, delicious food, thrilling rides, and the best fireworks show in South Florida.
The new logo will be featured throughout the city’s celebrations, city vehicles, city facilities, and initiatives leading up to the 250th anniversary in the year 2026. It serves as a reminder of the city’s dedication to honoring its history while looking forward to a bright and united future.
