Miami-Dade County’s school year has officially begun, and as thousands of kids and teens get ready for school, some lucky elementary students are starting off their new school year with a brand new backpack full of school supplies.
Bean Automotive Group collected new backpacks and filled them with school supplies including composition books, pencils, markers, scissors, crayons, and more school supplies elementary students would need. Every backpack also came with a giftcard to Walmart to help with any additional supplies or necessities. The backpacks were then taken to Pine Lake Elementary, a small school in southern Miami-Dade County. “I’m so excited for this school year!” said Carla Rivas, Principal of Pine Lake Elementary School. “Bean Automotive Group really helped us out today for our Meet & Greet event with supplies and backpacks for our students.”
Pine Lake Elementary specializes in a STEM program for their students, offering a Botany and Zoology program. They work closely with Fairchild Tropical Gardens and Zoo Miami, but still have a long road ahead to provide all the necessary tools and supplies to make their programs one of the best. “We need animals, we need feed for the animals, we need new plants and it would be wonderful if our community can put their arms around us and help us out,” said Principal Rivas. She hopes to improve Pine Lake Elementary’s programs for the new school year and provide a more immersive learning experience for her students, and Bean Automotive Group is looking forward to helping Principal Rivas achieve her goal. “We’re so happy to work with Mrs. Rivas and bring much needed supplies for the students”, said Lori Bean, Bean Automotive Group Dealer Principal. “The team and I are looking forward to helping out Pine Lake Elementary throughout the school year.”
