U.S. Century Bank’s Amirah Mohammad Appointed Committee Chair For The SFL Women In-House Counsel Group

U.S. Century Bank’s Amirah Mohammad, vice president and corporate and regulatory counsel, a member of the South Florida Women In-House Counsel Group, was appointed to chair the organization’s Professional and Career Development Committee. The South Florida Women In-House Counsel Group was created and run by women to support and empower female in-house attorneys.

“Congratulations to Amirah on her new appointment,” said Maricarmen Logroño, EVP and Chief Risk Officer of U.S. Century Bank. “Her work ethic and dependability make her an asset to any organization she is part of.”

As corporate and regulatory counsel, Mohammad is the legal liaison for the Bank’s risk management and compliance division and the board-appointed privacy officer. She plays an integral role in ensuring the safe and sound operation of the Bank. Her practice includes corporate law, regulatory compliance, contract law, oversight of external litigation, legal research and analysis, and corporate governance.

She earned her law degree from the Florida International University College of Law and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Lamar University in Texas. Mohammad is currently the vice president of the Florida School of Banking’s class of 2025.
