On Monday, August 26th, 2024, Doral Mayor and Council, will proudly inaugurate the eastern portion of Doral Central Park! This great milestone will be celebrated with the community, alongside project contractor, Kaufman Lynn Construction, and architect, Bermello Ajamil & Partners. The new and exciting amenities that will be open include playgrounds, amphitheater, multipurpose fields, skate park and pump track, a boardwalk, fishing pier and kayak launch, pavilions, and outdoor fitness equipment.
We invite the community to join us for this momentous occasion. The park will be open to the public beginning at 2:30 p.m. with event activities/activations commencing at 4:30 p.m. to include music, food, inflatables, interactive games, giveaways, and more! Don’t miss a special ceremony at 7:00 p.m. with special remarks by Mayor and Council, immediately followed by an energetic concert featuring Orlando Mendez and Los Wizzards!
Event parking will be at Doral Corporate Center behind CVS Pharmacy on 87th Avenue (8750 NW 26th Street), with back-and-forth shuttling to the park via the Doral Trolley from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Doral Police officers will be onsite to assist and guide eventgoers. Please do NOT park in the CVS Pharmacy lot, as vehicles may be towed.
The western portion of the park is on schedule to be completed and opened to the community in early 2025. This half of the park will include the Community Center, Aquatic Facility, outdoor basketball and tennis courts and additional parking. Stay tuned for updates!
