Luis Fernandez Rocha’s career as a media executive running television stations around the country kept him busy until the day 18 months ago when he was laid off. Not one to worry, Luis and his wife, Lisette, used the unplanned free time to travel extensively and enjoy themselves.
Upon returning to Miami, where Lisette works as a real estate agent for The Keyes Company, Luis began researching new opportunities for the next professional chapter of his life. After considering a number of possibilities, Luis and Lisette decided to purchase a franchise of Renovation Sells, a national leader in home renovations.
“We looked into brick and mortar franchises but what caught our eye was Renovation Sells, one of the fastest growing franchises in the country,” Luis said. “After meeting their corporate team and learning more about it, we bought the franchise covering Miami-Dade South. We’re already off to a great start.”
The winning formula of Renovation Sells allows homes to be renovated quickly and on budget. Sellers, buyers and real estate agents are the primary customers because they understand the added value of completing renovations to make a home more attractive and sellable.
“The last thing a home buyer wants to do is renovate a kitchen or bathroom in the days following their closing,” Luis explained. “Renovation Sells works with the seller, buyer and realtor to design, build and even finance the project. Most work is completed within three weeks, and often far sooner.”
Renovation Sells has an in-house design team which works closely with each customer to achieve their aesthetic vision. Whether it’s a complete kitchen redesign or a simple flooring job, the designers can quickly provide a variety of options. An estimating team creates a breakdown of the cost, and up to $80,000 in financing is available to qualified customers. Financing is interest-free for six months.
“Lisette and I are the owners of the Renovation Sells franchise in Miami. That means that homeowners and Realtors work directly with us on every aspect of the project,” Luis said.
“We save them a lot of time and energy because we supervise the entire project. We do all of the work and remove the aggravation from the renovation process.”
Renovation Sells also can design, build and finance projects for homeowners who aren’t interested in selling but need work done on their home.
“We’re very excited about the future of the company,” Luis said. “It’s a really good feeling to see the job completed on time and on budget, and to know that we made the home easier to sell, and at a higher price.”
