In response to the instructional days missed due to Hurricane Helene and Hurricane Milton, the Broward County School Board approved revisions to the 2024/25 school year calendar at a Special School Board meeting on Tuesday, October 22, 2024.

To maintain the required instructional time, the following adjustments have been made:

  • January 6, 2025: Changed from an employee planning day to a regular school day for students.
  • The first semester ends on January 9, 2025.
  • January 10, 2025: Changed from a regular school day to an employee planning day.
  • The addition of the severe weather days to include November 25, 26, 2024, and March 31, 2025.

The exam schedules are not impacted by these changes. These revisions ensure compliance with state instructional time requirements while minimizing disruptions to student learning.
