Broward County, Florida – Indian Regional Cultural Center of Florida (IRCC) is excited to announce its 12th Annual Diwali Celebration on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at the Broward County Convention Center. This popular event is a must-see, offering a fun and vibrant experience for people of all ages.
Diwali is one of the most anticipated cultural events in Broward County, bringing the community together to celebrate Indian heritage through dance, music, art, and food. From 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM, the convention center will be buzzing with colorful performances, exciting activities, and delicious cuisine. An attendance of approximately 10,000 is expected at the event.
Highlights of the festival include:
- Live Dance Performances: Enjoy energetic Bollywood numbers and traditional Indian folk dances performed by talented youth and adults. There will also be exciting high school and college dance competitions that showcase local talent. It is anticipated that there will be over 500 performers this year
- Delicious Indian Food: Savor a wide variety of authentic Indian dishes, prepared by skilled chefs. Whether you’re a fan of spicy or sweet, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
- Shopping Stalls: Browse through vendor booths from all over the country offering Indian clothing, jewelry, accessories and various services. This is a great opportunity to take home beautiful pieces of Indian craftsmanship.
- Cultural Activities: Participate in rangoli (art) competitions and enjoy art displays that celebrate creativity and tradition.
Tickets will go on sale on the IRCC Florida website at https://irccflorida.org/event/diwali-celebration/. Early bird tickets are available for $12 until Thursday, November 14. After this date, ticket prices will increase to $15, so make sure to grab yours early.
