Miami-Dade County’s Office of Neighborhood Safety (ONS) has launched another round of “Safe in the 305” grant program, a vital initiative under Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava’s Peace & Prosperity Plan.

This grant program is designed to empower residents and organizations to create impactful projects that enhance safety, strengthen neighborhoods, and foster prosperity across the county.

The Safe in the 305 grant program seeks to fund projects that address community needs, including revitalization and beautification efforts, youth-focused activities during the summer and back-to-school seasons, and support for justice-involved individuals working toward a brighter future.

Additionally, the program will prioritize efforts to promote awareness surrounding National Gun Violence Awareness Day and Month, which will take place in June 2025.

Grant awards will range from $500 to $1,500, with nonprofit organization holding 501(c)(3) status eligible for awards up to $2,000. Applications must be submitted by Jan. 13. Interested applicants can find eligibility criteria, application forms, and submission instructions by visiting www.miamidade.gov/safeinthe305.

To guide applicants through the process, ONS will offer free virtual application assistance sessions via Zoom: Dec. 16, 10 a.m.; Dec. 18, 3 p.m., and Jan. 8, 11 a.m. To register for a session, visit www.miamidade.gov/global/socialservices/neighborhoodsafety/safe-in-the-305-grant.page.

The Safe in the 305 Grant Program serves as a cornerstone of Mayor Levine Cava’s commitment to fostering peace and prosperity throughout Miami-Dade County. By funding community driven solutions, the program enables residents and stakeholders to actively contribute to creating safer, stronger, and more vibrant neighborhoods.
