The Heart of HPBSA: Building Community, Fostering Friendship, and Creating Memories

As we wrap up another exciting fall season of baseball, we’re reminded that the Howard Palmetto Baseball and Softball Association (HPBSA) is about so much more than just the sport. Founded in 1962, our non-profit organization has grown into a vibrant community of over 900 active families, all united in our commitment to nurturing young athletes and cultivating future leaders.

At HPBSA, we believe that our community-based rec league offers a unique and valuable experience for children of all ages and skill levels. By playing in our league, your child will have the opportunity to play various positions, develop new skills, and forge lasting friendships with their teammates and opponents.

Witness firsthand the sense of community and camaraderie that develops among our players, coaches, and families. There’s something special about watching your child hit a home run off a friend on a rival team, or seeing them develop friendships with players from other teams in their league. Be comfortable having siblings running freely around our parks and even feel safe at home behind the opposite team’s dugout.

Our league is designed to be a safe and supportive environment where children can grow and thrive, both on and off the field. We’re proud to offer a range of amenities and services, including monthly clinics, community building events and even concession stands this spring at Suniland proudly sponsored by Chick-fil-A.

At HPBSA, we’re dedicated to providing a positive and supportive environment for all of our players and their spectating families. We believe that sports should be a fun and enjoyable experience, and we’re committed to making sure that every child has the opportunity to participate and thrive.

As a non-profit organization, we’re able to keep our fees low ($275 for 5 months of baseball or softball) thanks to the tireless efforts of our hundreds of active volunteers. We’re grateful for their dedication and commitment to our community.

As we head into the holiday season, we want to take a moment to express our gratitude to all of our players, coaches, and families for being part of the HPBSA community. We’re honored to be a part of your lives, and we look forward to many more years of baseball, softball, and community-building together.

From our family to yours, we wish you a joyous holiday season and a happy new year!
