Miami-Dade School Board Member Danny Espino brought holiday spirit to District 5 with a week of school visits featuring toy giveaways, festive activities, and meaningful community engagement.
On December 10, Espino, alongside Miami-Dade County Commissioner Kevin Cabrera and City of Miami Commissioner Manolo Reyes, visited Henry M. Flagler Elementary to distribute toys to the students. The event emphasized the importance of giving back and creating joyful memories during the holiday season.
On December 12, Espino visited the Academy for Innovative Education for a celebration filled with holiday cheer. Students enjoyed a toy giveaway, posed for pictures with Santa Claus, and received candy canes as part of the festive event. Commissioner Kevin Cabrera joined Espino for the visit, which brought joy and excitement to the school community.
The week concluded on December 16 at Hialeah Elementary, where Espino collaborated with Interamerican Bank to distribute slime, candy canes, and holiday treats to students. The bank’s generous support helped make the event a success, spreading holiday cheer to children and families. “These visits are a reminder of the joy and magic that the holiday season brings,” Espino shared. “From toys to Santa pictures to festive treats, it’s been a privilege to share these moments with our students, staff, and community partners.”
