LGBTQIA+ Advisory Board elects new chair and vice chair for 2025The Miami-Dade County Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual, Plus (LGBTQIA+) Advisory Board recentlyel ected its chair and vice chair to serve a one-year term that will end November 2025.

Chair Ariel Trueba has been re-elected for a second term, reflecting his unwavering dedication to community advocacy and public service. With a strong background in governmental affairs, Trueba serves as the CEO and founder of Trueba Consulting.

Born and raised in Miami’s Little Havana neighborhood, Trueba is a graduate of Florida State University where he earned a Bachelor of Science in political science and business management, along with an emergency management certificate. He also is a graduate of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Miami Program and a member of the American Association of Political Consultants.

Vice chair Bobby Joe Bracy is a committed public servant dedicated to assisting Miami-Dade County residents in navigating bureaucracy and ensuring local government remains accessible and accountable. Bracy previously served as director of constituent services in the U.S. House of Representatives for two years and currently holds the position of district director for County Commissioner Danielle Cohen Higgins.

A graduate of Florida International University (FIU), Bracy earned a Bachelor of Arts in sociology and anthropology, along with a certificate in law, ethics, and society. He later received his Juris Doctor from FIU’s College of Law, further demonstrating his commitment to serving his community with integrity and expertise.
