The Miami Marlins today announced they have signed 17 players to open the 2025 International Signing Period. The announcement was made by Director of International Scouting David Hernandez Beayne, who was present at today’s ceremony at the Marlins Academy in the Dominican Republic.
The initial list is highlighted by 16-year-old shortstop Andrew Salas (Venezuela), who entered 2025 as the third-best International prospect by Baseball America, and 16-year-old right-handed pitcher Kevin DeFrank (Dominican Republic), who entered the signing period ranked 81st overall by Baseball America.
