Miami Southridge alumni, take note! We hear from Linda Moskowitz that “The 25 Year Reunion for the Miami Southridge Class of ‘87 will take place July 21, 2012 at the Peacock Garden Cafe in Coconut Grove starting at 6 p.m.” It’s located next to the Sonesta Hotel. For more info on the event, certainly a special milestone for grads, visit their web site: www.southridgealumni.com. Better do it soon!
Cutler Bay’s annual Whispering Pines Fourth of Juy Parade and picnic was another great event, as usual, and definitely a good old fashioned “small town” feel good happening. Congrats to organizers and all who participated.
Mark thison your calendar— the next Regular Council Meeting is on Wednesday, July 18, at Town Hall, 10720 Caribbean Boulevard.
Last word on KFHA’s special Committee on Incorporation formed after Commissioners lifted the five-year moratorium against considering new applications for cityhood: “We are holding off until the Commission gives us some direction of how we can do it. No one knows yet,” says KFHA President Michael Rosenberg. Don’t hold your breath, Mike, at least until the Aug. 14 mayoral primary is over – and even then, who knows?
Thought for the Day:

with a thousand reasons to cry,
show the world that you have
a thousand and one reasons to smile.
