South Florida turned out eagerly again on Saturday, Feb. 8, for the Coral Gables Community Foundation’s 16th Tour of Kitchens and Tropical Living, featuring 11 beautifully designed residences with dream-worthy kitchens, each with a restaurant or food sampling station and several must-have products from local vendors.
Presented by Mosaicist, the tour also proved a resounding fundraising success, setting a new fundraising record for the Coral Gables Community Foundation.
The opening event at The Shops of Merrick Park allowed participants to enjoy breakfast treats and all kinds of coffees, as Tour Committee chairs Liz Parnes and Xavier Durana kicked off the morning with a rousing call to action. The glossy guidebook illuminating the 11 amazing homes on the tour included detailed descriptions of every appliance and fixture.
Guests visited the showroom of Cassia The Residences at Coral Gables by Alta, and the MG Developer Showroom all day and finished with an intense Closing Party at Maison & Co. of Coral Gables new showroom, with a deejay, pickleball, lots of specialty drinks and an amazing array including melon, cheesecakes, pastries and savory snacks.
With more than 800 guests participating, proceeds and donations from the 2025 Tour of Kitchens play a vital role in funding scholarships for deserving high school students, empowering them to pursue higher education, as well as community grants for nonprofit organizations that make Coral Gables wonderful.
