The Roaring 20s will come to life during BrightStar Credit Union’s ‘The Secret Passage’ Presented by Broward Teachers Union and benefiting Broward Education Foundationon Friday, May 2 from 6:30 to 10 p.m. at the Westin Fort Lauderdale Beach Resort, 321 N. Fort Lauderdale Beach Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale.
A whispered invitation or a hidden doorway with a secret lock, The Secret Passage transports guests back in time to a ritzy evening of intrigue and timeless glamour during a roaring night for education. It will be a night to remember as guests come dressed to the nines, donning their finest attire from fashionable flappers to dapper dons. The speakeasy soirée kicks-off with a cocktail reception and a silent auction, filled with exciting adventures, gift baskets and more. Guests will then be escorted into the ballroom to enjoy a delicious dinner and dancing to live jazz, blues, swing and dance band music, as guests step back in time to a different era for a grand night of fun and philanthropy.
Beyond the vintage allure lies something greater, an opportunity to open doors for Broward County Public Schools students and educators as the community comes together in support of Broward Education Foundation.
“We pride ourselves on hosting exceptional themed events each spring and can’t wait to welcome our guests back to the roaring 20s,” said James A. Knapp, president and CEO of Broward Education Foundation. “We are so grateful for our generous partners and supporters that enable us to raise much-needed funds to maximize the quality of education in Broward County Public Schools.”
Proceeds benefit Broward Education Foundation’s transformational programs and initiatives for students and teachers in Broward County Public Schools. Each year, the Foundation contributes more than $4 million to Broward County Public Schools.
Individual tickets are $175 with various partnership levels starting at $1,500. For more information visit browardedfoundation.org/
