The Town of Cutler Bay’s “Food Truck Friday” in the month of June is dedicated to celebrating Caribbean Heritage Month.
765Caribbean-American Heritage Month in 2025 is from June 1 to June 30. This month recognizes the contributions of Caribbean Americans to the culture and history of the United States. The event is from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at Cutler Ridge Park.
The town’s event is on Friday, June 13, but it definitely does not sound like an unlucky date for anyone attending the occasion. Maria Herrera‑Mendoza, events and programs manager for the Department of Parks & Recreation, provided the details.
“We’re excited to celebrate Caribbean Heritage Month with our Food Truck Friday – Caribbean Heritage Night Celebration,” Herrera‑Mendoza said. “We have a great mix of food vendors participating this year, with many offering authentic Caribbean flavors.”
The food trucks participating are:
● Boba Bowl (Boba Tea and Açaí Bowls)
● Funnel Cake Miami (Desserts)
● Chef Hel on Wheels (Mexican)
● Cold Stone (Ice Cream and Milkshakes)
● Sauwce’s Kitchen (Southern Hispanic Fusion)
● Reggae Beets (Jamaican)
● Don Mofongo (Latin Caribbean)
● Smokehouse Barbecue (BBQ)
● Miami Sugar Shack (Carnival Food)
● Bahama Mama (Bahamian Food)
● Heavenly Corn Creation (Gourmet Corn)
● Flavor House Grill (Caribbean Food)
● All Stars Rolling Café (Arepas, Shakes and Sandwiches)
● Street Twist (Burgers and Wings)
“In addition to the delicious food, we’ll have a Caribbean deejay, bounce houses and crafts for the kids and the 19th hole golf simulator,” Herrera‑Mendoza said. “There’ll be a special performance by the Miami Generation Junkanoo Group, who bring the vibrant Bahamian street parade tradition of Junkanoo to life here in Miami. We’re looking forward to a lively and fun-filled evening that celebrates Caribbean culture and community.”
Cutler Ridge Park is located at 10100 SW 200 St. Town staff advise those interested not to forget to bring their lawn chairs and blankets.
