It was all fun and games recently at the Sir Pizza in Coral Gables when the University of Miami’s Ibis mascot “Sebastian” visited the popular restaurant much to the surprise and delight of lunchtime patrons.
Like a giant kid let loose on the playground he greeted adults and children alike offering animated hellos and high fives.
The special Sebastian visit also happened at the Palmetto Bay and Pinecrest locations on the same day. Sebastian and his UM team brought along posters highlighting the UM’s football season.
“Sir Pizza is the official pizza of the UM and what we do together starts exclusively here and then goes out to the mainstream,” said Rene Pratz, Sir Pizza president and CEO. “Sebastian brought in the new football schedule posters, some of which are signed by Coach Al Golden. Anybody who receives one of the signed posters will get free pizza.”
