Strive305, Community Newspapers expand informative podcast series
The flagship English-language podcast is hosted by Irvans Augstin and Tico Casamayor.

Strive305, in collaboration with Miami’s Community Newspapers, has quickly emerged as a standout platform for engaging, informative, and culturally relevant content in the Miami-Dade community.

The podcast series — which encompasses diverse programming in English, Kreyol, and Spanish — reflects the dynamic and multicultural fabric of South Florida. Currently, Strive305 houses five active podcasts under the Miami’s Community Newspapers studio umbrella, and its success continues to build momentum with plans for new and exciting shows launching in the coming months.

The flagship English-language podcast is hosted by Irvans Augstin and Tico Casamayor. The two dynamic hosts bring a wealth of knowledge, energy, and experience to the series, covering a range of topics relevant to the business, economic, and cultural landscape of Miami-Dade County. Irvans and Tico’s chemistry and familiarity with the local community allow them to craft content that resonates with their listeners while staying grounded in the issues that affect the everyday lives of their audience.

On the Kreyol side, Strive305 features Candice Mondesir, the executive director of the Haitian-American Chamber of Commerce. Candice’s leadership in the Haitian-American community in Miami-Dade County is unparalleled, and her podcast offers listeners valuable insights into the issues, challenges, and opportunities that the Haitian-American community faces in South Florida.

By highlighting local Haitian businesses, entrepreneurs, and cultural events, the podcast serves as a vital resource for listeners who seek to stay informed about the developments within the community, as well as the broader global conversations surrounding Haitian-American identity.

The Spanish podcast, led by Yamilet Rivas, president and founder of the Camara de Comercio de Mujeres en Estados Unidos de America, is another crucial piece of Strive305’s programming. Through her leadership, the Spanish podcast amplifies the voices of Latina women in business and leadership roles, offering a platform to discuss the unique challenges they encounter.

Yamilet’s podcast sheds light on the accomplishments, resilience, and growing influence of the Latina business community within Miami and beyond. The podcast not only supports Latina entrepreneurs but also fosters a sense of solidarity and empowerment among Spanish-speaking listeners who might feel underrepresented in mainstream media outlets.

In August, Strive305 is expanding its reach even farther with two exciting new additions to the podcast lineup. First, the Strive305 Virtutem Populo Economic Fellows Program hosted by Clint John will highlight the next generation of entrepreneurs from high schools across Miami-Dade. This initiative is set to bring young, innovative minds to the forefront, providing them with the opportunity to showcase their entrepreneurial endeavors, share their stories, and inspire others.

As Miami-Dade is known for its thriving startup culture, this podcast serves as a perfect opportunity to spotlight the creativity and ambition of high school students, who are the future of the region’s business landscape.

In addition to the Virtutem Populo podcast, Strive305 will introduce the Strive305 Hospitality/Food & Beverage Show, hosted by the team behind La Jama TV. This podcast will explore the diverse and vibrant hospitality scene that makes Miami one of the most sought-after destinations in the world. Miami’s food and beverage industry is a rich tapestry of different cultures, flavors, and traditions, and the new show will dive deep into these stories.

From interviews with chefs, restaurateurs and food critics to behind-the-scenes glimpses into the world of Miami’s hospitality industry, the Strive305 Hospitality/Food & Beverage Show will provide listeners with an in-depth look at how Miami has become a global culinary hub.

Additionally, this podcast will highlight the challenges and triumphs of the local hospitality workforce, offering invaluable insights into the industry’s dynamic and ever-changing landscape.

What sets Strive305 apart is not just the diversity of topics, but the fact that it offers content that is deeply rooted in the local community. From entrepreneurial endeavors and economic empowerment to cultural celebration and business development, the podcast series strives to create an inclusive space where all voices are heard, acknowledged, and celebrated.

One of the key drivers of Strive305’s success is its commitment to representation. By providing content in multiple languages — English, Kreyol, and Spanish — the podcast series is ensuring that people from different cultural backgrounds and communities are not just passive consumers of content, but active participants in shaping the conversation. Strive305 reflects the diverse, multifaceted nature of Miami, and in doing so, it strengthens the bonds between various communities while fostering mutual respect and understanding.

As Strive305 continues to grow and evolve, it will undoubtedly become an even more influential platform in the region, bridging gaps and providing a voice to the entrepreneurs, innovators, and leaders of tomorrow. With its unique blend of cultural awareness, business acumen, and community-driven storytelling, Strive305 is well on its way to becoming a pillar of Miami’s media landscape. The future looks bright for Strive305, and its expanding podcast offerings are sure to continue capturing the hearts and minds of listeners across Miami-Dade County and beyond.
