ArtServe, Fort Lauderdale’s award-winning arts incubator, has named Douglas C. Evans, president and CEO of the Palm Beach Chamber of Commerce,as chair of its board. The organization also welcomed two new members, Bridget Gavin and Nohelia Orozco, who each bring impressive professional experience and a shared passion for strengthening the arts community.
Evans succeeds Molly Wilson of Brown & Brown Insurance, who guided the board with distinction over the past two years. A past ArtServe board member, Evans has built a respected career in both the arts and business sectors. At the Palm Beach Chamber, he has played a key role in promoting regional growth and innovation, while remaining an active supporter of cultural advancement throughout South Florida.
“ArtServe is such a vital hub for creativity and community,” Evans said. “It’s a privilege to build on the strong foundation that Molly and the board have established as we continue to empower artists and expand access to the arts in Broward County.”
Bridget Gavin, assistant vice president at Paradise Bank, brings experience in finance and banking along with a lifelong connection to the arts. A graduate of Florida State University (FSU), Gavin combines her analytical expertise with an appreciation for creativity, helping artists and organizations bridge the gap between artistry and entrepreneurship.
Also an FSU alum, Nohelia Orozco serves as business manager for the Broward County Aviation Department, where she oversees a budget of more than $300 million. Her background in financial and operational management will help strengthen ArtServe’s fiscal and organizational planning. A strong advocate for accessible arts programming, she is eager to contribute her insight to expand ArtServe’s reach and impact in the community.
