Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS) launched the Surf Bal Bay Club at the Surfside Community Center on November 27th. This new membership based program for adults aged 60 and over living in the Surfside, Bal Harbour and Bay Harbor area offers concierge-level services; social and cultural activities; discounts on dining, shopping and home help; transportation; healthcare-related programs; and an in-home personal emergency response system.
Over 25 seniors from the community attended and enjoyed a program that included remarks from Sylvia Goldsmith, JCS Executive Vice President and COO, and a fitness warm-up from JCS Activity Coordinator Liora Ramati-Giron.
Marli Lutz, Program Director of the Surf Bal Bay Club, was gratified by the response from the community, saying “This is such a good program and a great value for these seniors. We look forward to getting people signed up and beginning to make their lives richer and more rewarding.”
