On Friday, December 12, School Board Member Danny Espino, District 5, and City of Miami Commissioner Ralph Rosado, District 4, joined forces to bring festive spirit and heartfelt generosity to the students of Henry M. Flagler Elementary School.
In a meaningful gesture to uplift families during the holiday season, the two community leaders purchased toys for every student from Prekindergarten (PreK) through 5th Grade. Classrooms filled with excitement as children received their gifts, creating a memorable start to the holiday break.
Younger students in PreK through 2nd Grade were also treated to an engaging holiday show that brought laughter, music, and interactive fun to the school’s cafetorium. The experience highlighted the commitment of local leaders to support student well-being and create joyful experiences beyond the classroom.
“Bringing holiday cheer to our students is one of the most rewarding parts of this job,” said School Board Member Danny Espino. “We are grateful for the opportunity to brighten their day and remind them that their community cares.”
The visit demonstrated the ongoing partnership between Miami-Dade leaders and local schools, reinforcing their shared dedication to fostering supportive and enriching environments for all children.
