The Department of Regulatory and Economic Resources’ (RER) Division of Planning is updating the Comprehensive Development Master Plan (CDMP), Miami-Dade County’s long-range blueprint for growth and development, through a process known as the Evaluation and Appraisal Report (EAR).

Because public input is essential to this process, RER will gather feedback through a series of public workshops to be held across the County between January and March.

“Our community’s voice matters,” said Miami-Dade County Mayor Daniella Levine Cava.

“This update to the Comprehensive Development Master Plan is an opportunity for residents to share their ideas and priorities for Miami-Dade’s future. Together, we can create a plan that reflects our shared vision for a vibrant, sustainable, and inclusive county.”

The schedule of public workshops are as follows:
Monday, Jan. 26, 6 p.m., at Coral Reef Branch Library, 9211 Coral Reef Dr.
Tuesday, Feb. 17, 6 p.m., at Naranja Branch Library, 14850 SW 280 St.
Thursday, Feb. 26, 6 p.m., at North Central Branch Library, 9590 NW 27 Ave,
Monday, Mar. 23, 6 p.m., Ruben Dario Park & Community Center, 9825 W. Flagler St.
Monday, Mar. 30, 6 p.m., at West Kendall Regional Library 10201 Hammocks Blvd.

The workshops will provide an overview of the CDMP and the EAR process, opportunities for residents to share ideas on how Miami-Dade County should grow and interactive discussions with planning staff.

The CDMP outlines the vision for Miami-Dade’s future and guides where and how growth will occur. The EAR assesses the county’s progress toward achieving CDMP goals and recommends updates to address evolving community needs, including housing, transportation, resilience, economic development, and environmental protection.

Following the first workshop, a presentation will be posted on the EAR webpage for those unable to attend.

To ensure all residents have an opportunity to participate, the public may also share their opinions by submitting comments to EAR2026@miamidade.gov.
