The Village of Palmetto Bay announced on Feb. 4 that it had doubled its number of Freebee vehicles from two to four.
Transportation staff said that this was a significant development because that will mean shorter wait times and faster trips to the park, the store, to visit friends or anywhere else residents want to go in the village.
The Freebee shuttle service began in Palmetto Bay in July 2019 at a special ceremony attended by Mayor Karyn Cunningham and other village officials. Freebee is a free, door-to-door, on-demand transportation service. Freebee vehicles are 100 percent electric and emission-free. Freebee serves people of all ages and pets of every kind.
