The Orange Bowl Committee (OBC), a nonprofit sports organization, is proud to announce that Michael E. Moran has been named the Orange Bowl Committee’s 88th president and chair for the 2026–27 year. Moran is co-founder and managing partner at Brockway Moran & Partners, Inc., and founder of Moran Capital Partners, LLC. Moran succeeds Henri W. Crockett who served as president & chair during the 2025–26 year.

Moran has been an active member of the Orange Bowl Committee since 2015, serving in numerous leadership roles and on multiple committees, contributing to the organization’s growth, governance and community outreach efforts. In his role as president & chair, Moran will lead the Orange Bowl Committee in advancing its mission to generate tourism and economic impact for South Florida while supporting meaningful community initiatives throughout the region. His term will include oversight of a year-round calendar of marquee events and community programs, highlighted by the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl on Thursday, January 14, 2027, at Hard Rock Stadium.

The Orange Bowl Committee was established in 1935 with the mission of generating tourism and economic impact for South Florida through an annual football game and supporting events. Since the organization’s inception, millions of dollars have been injected into the local economy, leaving an indelible mark on the neighborhoods and people it serves. Over the past two decades, Orange Bowl and its partners have committed more than $50 million to improving the South Florida community through Orange Bowl Cares initiatives, which is comprised of four pillars: Youth Sports, Education, Community Engagement and Legacy Programs.

“It is an honor to serve as president and chair of the Orange Bowl Committee and to follow in the footsteps of so many dedicated leaders,” said Moran. “The Orange Bowl has a rich tradition of excellence, service and impact, and I look forward to working alongside our members, staff, partners and volunteers to continue strengthening our role in the South Florida community while delivering world-class events.”

During Moran’s 30-year career in private equity investing, he has acquired or invested in more than 30 growth-oriented businesses and served as Chairman or Director on over 25 corporate Boards of Directors operating in industries as varied as printed circuit boards and air ambulances. In addition to the Orange Bowl Committee, his philanthropic activities include sitting on the Board of Trustee of Ransom Everglades School where he chairs the Investment Committee, and as President of Casa Familia, the first housing community in Miami-Dade county for adults with intellectual and development disabilities.

Hector Tundidor Jr. moves into Moran’s former role as president-elect and will serve as the 89th president & chair during the 2027-28 year. Suzanne Amaducci will serve as first vice-chair, while Xavier E. Gonzalez was elected second vice-chair and will serve as president in 2029-30. Eric L. Poms enters his 21st year as the chief executive officer and his 33rd year with the Orange Bowl Committee.

        About Orange Bowl

The Orange Bowl Committee is a non-profit sports organization fueled by more than 400 dedicated volunteers. Since its inception in 1935, the Orange Bowl has remained steadfast in its mission to drive tourism and economic impact for South Florida through world-class events and collegiate athletics. Beyond the gridiron, the organization’s legacy is defined by Orange Bowl Cares, a comprehensive community outreach initiative built on four pillars: Youth Sports, Education, Community Engagement, and Legacy Programs.

The Orange Bowl hosts a diverse year-round calendar of events, culminating in the 2027 College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Capital One Orange Bowl on January 14, 2027 at Hard Rock Stadium.
