Duke University awarded more than 5,000 undergraduate, graduate and professional degrees during its annual commencement ceremony May 12.
Duke President Richard H. Brodhead presided over the ceremony in the university’s Wallace Wade football stadium, and philanthropist Melinda Gates, co-founder of the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, delivered the commencement address.
