Community Habilitation Center (CHC) will host its annual CHC Fashion Show to help raise funds for the organization with a “Legends Las Vegas” theme. The models will be the individuals who attend CHC, all who have developmental disabilities. This fun and high-energy event will also feature an art gallery showcasing the paintings, ceramics and photography from individuals who attend CHC. The CHC Fashion Show will take place on Saturday, Sept. 21, 11:30 a.m. at the Miami Airport Convention Center, 711 NW 72nd Ave., Miami, FL 33126.
A silent auction will also take place. This annual fashion show puts CHC’s individuals in the spotlight, as they become catwalk stars and models. Passionate staff members put together the entire show.
“The Fashion Show has become not only CHC’s largest fundraising event but also it’s most inspiring. We are proud of our individuals’ talents and abilities and this event allows our community to experience how valuable and incredible our individuals are,” said Natalia Laver-Wong, Executive Director of CHC.
Proceeds will benefit Community Habilitation Center, an organization that offers support, guidance and encouragement to adults with developmental disabilities by teaching skills to assist them with their personal choices, abilities, growth and ultimately, independence.
Community Habilitation Center (CHC) is a nonprofit organization that was funded in 1972 to provide an array of support, programs and activities to adults with developmental disabilities. CHC currently supports and serves over 150 individuals who range in ages from 22 to 75. The purpose of all CHC services is to offer support, guidance and encouragement to adults with developmental disabilities regarding their personal choices, abilities, growth and ultimately, independence.
