The Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) has appointed Reinaldo Borges, AIA a Principal of Miami based architecture firm Borges + Associates, Chairman of its Real Estate Council. Borges is a world renowned architect with an international architecture portfolio and a great passion for the advancement and growth of the Miami Beach community.
“Real Estate is the backbone of our economy and a hot button issue on Miami Beach,” said Borges. “I’m looking forward to leading the council and engaging them to discuss issues affecting the Real Estate market. The council can make significant strides in improving the vitality of the Miami Beach community.”

Borges will lead the council for one year and ensure it follows its mission, which is to act as a resource to the members of the Chamber who serve the local Real Estate community. The council supports its members by sharing expertise, offering guidance and knowledge, exploring new educational opportunities and facilitating communication within the industry and community. Miami real estate faces unique challenges and the council provides the resources to enable development of unique solutions.

Borges has been instrumental in helping the Chamber focus on issues that concern the future and welfare of the City of Miami Beach. He has been involved in iconic projects, on and off Miami Beach, such as the Royal Palm Hotel, Canyon Ranch Carillon Resort Hotel, Bentley Beach Hotel, Bentley Bay Condo, as well as the American Airlines Arena. Most recently, he completed his firm’s work on the Grand Beach Resort Hotel and the Historic Webster Hotel, including its fashion boutique and restaurant, and the Infinity at Brickell, a 56 story luxury condo in Miami’s Brickell Village.
With his growing portfolio of luxury waterfront private residences, Borges has made a significant contribution to the evolution of luxurious and sustainable architecture in Miami Beach’s waterfront man made Islands such as Palm, Hibiscus, Sunset, Rivo Alto Islands and other high-value residential neighborhoods.
