For Water Safety Month, the Sunny Isles Beach Ocean Rescue Division hosted staying safe in the water days during the week of May 26th. The summer season had officially begun Memorial Day Weekend. Across from Samson Oceanfront Park at Tower 174, lifeguards provided information regarding rip currents, beach safety flags and conditions of the day. Complimentary ice water was also available under the information tent to provide beachgoers with a shaded place to get cool and stay hydrated. On a perfect day to enjoy the beautiful beach, two visitors stopped to speak with Lifeguard Matt Acquaro.
