Fairchild Partners Commercial Real Estate Services in South Miami has hired Sofia Ruzo as chief marketing officer. The independent marketing consultant and brand strategist was most recently the marketing manager for Lucchese, a high-end footwear and leather goods company based in El Paso, Texas. Prior to that she was lead brand strategist for LinkAmerica, one of the country’s fastest-growing Hispanic-owned companies.
Ruzo has been a blogger for National Geographic since 2012. Her photography has been published at the 2014 TED Global Conference, and in Nexos, Hispanic Executive, and Inc. magazines, as well as in National Geographic’s blog and magazine. She has worked as an account planner at The Richards Group (Dallas), as a grant writer and researcher at the National Center for Policy Analysis (Dallas), as a senior account executive at Market Wave agency (Dallas), and in public relations at the Jeffrey Group in Miami Beach, Florida.
Ruzo holds a master’s degree in brand strategy from Southern Methodist University, and a double bachelor’s magna cum laude in English and marketing from Hillsdale College in Michigan. She attended the London School of Economics with an emphasis on digital marketing, and the Mudra Institute for Communications (MICA) in Ahmedabad, India, for studies in research methodology and quantitative methods. A resident of Coconut Grove, she is fluent in English and Spanish.
