The Corvette Stingray is one of my favorite cars in the world because of its style and iconic history.
The Corvette is America in all the best ways. It makes me feel good that we produced this car that is admired the world over. One of the best things about it is that Chevrolet isn’t keeping it static. It is evolving to the needs and demands of the next generation of Corvette drivers and fans.
In the 2021 LT2 V8, you get a lot of style including an engine that is visible through the rear hatch window in the coupe. What I like most about this beauty is that with all the changes, Chevrolet still manages to balance design and performance that makes the driver feel like their in control of their fate.
For 2021, its head-turning look and performance is offered with new available design options, FE2 suspension, Driver Mode Selector Visualization and wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto compatibility.
The 2LT sits in the middle of the convertible Corvette pack and is a good buy for the money as this trim level adds a bunch of notable features. It shares the same 6.2-liter V8 as the rest of the lineup, but now it includes premium features such as heated and ventilated driver and passenger seats with a driver’s side lumbar adjustment, navigation, and a 14-speaker Bose sound system.
Not only does the 2LT pack more features, but it is also a safer car to drive, thanks to rear cross-traffic alert and side blind zone alert.
So for my money, the 2LT offers an outstanding balance of features and price, putting it at the top of the list for those looking to buy a C8 Convertible. Starting at just over $74,000 the 2LT is an 8-speed automatic that gets 15 miles per gallon in the city and 27 miles per gallon on the highway. That’s on an engine that delivers 490 horsepower with 465 pounds, feet of torque. As a result, the Stingray reaches 60 miles per hour in about 3 seconds. That’s pretty amazing.
The 2021 Corvette offers a retractable hardtop. It adds just 77 pounds to the weight of the vehicle and flows seamlessly into the body while maintaining Stingray’s impressive storage capabilities. Available in body-color or carbon flash, the hardtop can activate at speeds up to 30 miles per hour. Whether you’re on the road with top down or on the track with the top up, performance stays high with the most track-capable Corvette convertible in history.
My takeaway is that this is a car that deserves your attention. The Corvette Stingray LT2 V8 has enough options to please the pickiest driver and all the bells and whistles to make this another winner for Chevrolet.
