Nine outstanding young soccer players, all under the age of 10, were recent finalists in the West Pines Classic Soccer Tournament, held in Naples, Florida, one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country. The program, powered by Bold Nation Sports, trains and develops top athletes on and off the field.
The team players bringing home the award were Nicolas Mira, Leonardo Figeiredo, Mateo Corsino, Alex Padilla, Martin Galeano, Liar Lazarovich, Noah Coll, Christopher Rivero and Santiago Fadel, and most of the boys are Aventura City of Excellence School and Aventura Waterways K-8 students. The team practices every Tuesday, Thursday and Friday and have games on weekends, and will be traveling again to Naples to participate in the 3rd Annual Alliance Cup.
Juan Mira, father of Nicolas Mira, said, “We are extremely proud of our under-10 City of Aventura Bold Nation’s team performance in the West Pines Tournament. Three years in the making the results speak to what working together as a team can accomplish. The continued support of the City, the parents, amazing coaches and the team’s hard work was evident in the tournament results. Adriana Hassey, mother of Alex Padilla, said “Education through sports is essential today. Our soccer U-10 division kids showed the values that drive us in the City of Aventura at the West Pines Tournament . Respect, commitment, teamwork, grit. Not only did they show that you fight until the last minute, but they honored the value of unity until the end. That is what Bold Nation has instilled in our kids.
