William D. Talbert, III, CDME was recently named the 2021 Florida Tourism Hall of Fame Award winner by the Visit Florida Board of Directors. Since 2001, Visit Florida, the state’s official tourism marketing corporation, has honored contemporary and historic Florida tourism leaders with this prestigious honor.
Under his tenure as President & CEO of the GMCVB for over two decades, Mr. Talbert has transformed Florida’s tourism industry and solidified Greater Miami/Miami Beach as a global destination. Mr. Talbert was chosen for the award due to his experience, expertise, vision, creativity, and dedication to advancing the tourism industry. Mr. Talbert’s legacy was honored during the annual Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Hollywood, FL on September 8, 2021.
