“Heirloom Recipes with a Citrus Twist” – Mother’s Day Recipe Contest! Grand Prize Winner to Receive Ultimate 3 Night Miami Vacation Getaway
Just like family heirlooms, treasured recipes get passed down from generation to generation, building memories at each and every turn… and Trump International Beach Resort wants to hear (and taste!) yours! Just in time for Mother’s Day, the resort is kicking off it’s “Heirloom Recipes with a Citrus Twist” recipe contest for a chance for one lucky winner to win a 3 night vacation get-away in luxurious oceanfront suite accommodations in Sunny Isles Beach, Florida.
The Resort is inviting all non-professional creative cooks and baking enthusiasts and self-proclaimed “culinary scientists” to celebrate mom by sharing one of her most special recipes…and then adding to it with their own tasty citrus twist on tradition!

Why the citrus twist?
The Resorts’ very own Executive Chef Kurtis Jantz has recently developed quite a local following, due in part to his use of Florida-grown flavors in dishes available throughout the resort. “Each of my creations comes from a culture or tradition that has influenced and strengthened my culinary abilities,” said Executive Chef Kurtiz Jantz. “My team and I understand the importance of sharing these experiences and incorporating the many local ingredients and flavors that are grown in our own backyards.” I am extremely excited to see (and taste) what our guests and fans will create!”
Beginning on February 1st, 2016 and running through April 15th, 2016, participants can submit one original, non-trademarked family recipe, add a unique citrus twist ingredient to it and then share a special tradition or fond memory about their family recipe. The recipe can run the gamut from ultra -healthy to sinfully decadent! The only two rules are that the recipe must include a citrus fruit of some kind, and must be original content.
Entry Recipes will fall into one of three categories:
- Appetizers
- Main Course Dishes
- Desserts
A total of three (3) recipes will be selected as “Finalists” and these recipes will be featured at the Resorts’ Annual Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday May 8th, 2016. All attendees will get the chance to sample, enjoy and cast their vote on each recipe creation.
The recipe with the most votes wins!
The Grand Prize Winner will be announced on May 11th, 2016 and will receive:
- Complimentary Three (3) night stay for 2 guests in a luxurious 2 Bedroom Oceanfront Suite at Trump International Beach Resort
- Daily breakfast for two (2) in Neomi’s Grill
- Two (2) Fifty (50) minute spa treatments (one treatment per person)
- Up to $600.00 Travel credit
- The Winning recipe featured on Trumpmiami.com and Trump International Beach Resort’s social media channels.
All Three Finalists will receive:
- One (1) Omega J8006 Nutrition Center Juicer
- One (1) Embroidered Trump International Beach Resort Culinary Apron
- One (1) Signature Chef recipe from Executive Chef Kurtis Jantz
