The Miami-Dade County Office of the Mayor and Board of County Commissioners proudly declares June 11, 2023, as Vladimir Issaev Day, honoring the extraordinary achievements and contributions of Vladimir Issaev, the renown Artistic Director, Choreographer, and Ballet Master. The proclamation ceremony took place on June 11 at the Julius Littman North Miami Beach Theater, with the presence of Mr. Issaev’s students, parents, faculty from his own Vladimir Issaev School of Classical Ballet, and the Board of Directors of the Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida.
Through vision, hard work, and determination, Vladimir Issaev has left an indelible mark on the vibrant arts scene of South Florida. As the Founder and Artistic Director of his own School of Classical Ballet and the professional company Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida, he has dedicated over 60 years to sharing his talents and expertise with aspiring dancers. His stellar career serves as an outstanding showcase of unparalleled dedication and unmatched contributions to the world of ballet.
The proclamation highlights Mr. Issaev’s extensive resume, which includes collaborations with renowned ballet institutions worldwide. From the Choreographic School of Voronezh, the Opera House of Ufa, the Opera House of Odessa to the Ballet Nacional de Caracas, he has garnered the respect and admiration of not only his students and their families but also the wider ballet community. This recognition from Miami-Dade County is a testament to the magnitude of his achievements.
The proclamation ceremony coincided with the celebration of the 25th Anniversary of Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida and commemorated Vladimir Issaev’s 60th Anniversary as a ballet artist. The event brought together all his students, parents, and faculty of the Vladimir Issaev School of Classical Ballet, as well as the Board of Directors of the Arts Ballet Theatre of Florida. It was a joyous occasion to honor and express gratitude for Mr. Issaev’s unwavering dedication and artistic brilliance.
Notably, the proclamation ceremony preceded Maestro Vladimir and a group of his distinguished students’ upcoming participation in the International Young Dancers Festival in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. This prestigious event highlights the global recognition of Vladimir Issaev’s school and company, showcasing the talent and excellence nurtured under his guidance.
Mayor Daniela Levine Cava, Commissioner Micky Steinberg, Chairman Oliver G.
