Sandra Joel never had a clue, When Aventura Comm. Billy Joel planned a surprise birthday party for his wife Sandra, he knew exactly what he wanted to do . “This year, it was going to be just our family to celebrate…and our family alone is almost 20!” It was just as much fun in the planning of this special event as there was in the actual party weekend, as Billy secretly arranged to have all his children and grandchildren flown in and tucked away in a hotel until the big surprise. The plan went off without a hitch. The big dinner at Ruth’s Chris Steak House Aventura , then a day of fun and laughter with a dinner at Matteo’s the next night where even the grandchildren took the microphone to sing followed by a Sunday brunch. “Sandra didn’t have any idea that her entire family would be surrounding her on her birthday…the laughter, the love, the memories….it couldn’t have been better,” said Billy.
