In preparation for the remainder of hurricane season, Commissioner García partnered with United HomeCare and Florida Power & Light to distribute hurricane emergency three-day meal kits to senior residents in District 13. Commissioner García and his team visited La Esperanza and Patterson Pavilion housing buildings to ensure the Hialeah seniors are well taken care of.
“It’s always important to help the frailest in our community, especially as they get storm ready,” said Commissioner García. “Providing non-perishable food and supplies is one way we can make a difference.”
