Educational Federal Credit Union (EdFed) is opening a new branch in Broward County located at the Miramar Park Place shopping center in Miramar, Florida. Scheduled to open in early 2024, this development marks EdFed’s first branch location to be opened outside of Miami-Dade County.
“EdFed continues to experience tremendous growth, and our credit union has a large population of members living in Broward County,” said Michael DiBenedetto, President & CEO. “Our new Miramar Park Place branch is an ideal location to serve our existing members while providing new members in the community with convenient access to EdFed’s outstanding loan and deposit account benefits.”
EdFed has partnered with the St. Louis architecture firm NewGround to design a branch concept that boasts over 3,700 square feet of space and a community room that will host financial education seminars and other special events for EdFed members.
“Our Miramar Park Place branch will have a unique and modern design that will set a new standard for EdFed’s branches,” commented Enrique (Henry) Horstmann, EdFed’s Board Chair. “This is an exciting new chapter in the history of our credit union, and our Miramar Park Place branch will showcase EdFed’s strong commitment to supporting the financial well-being of our members.”
Plans are underway by EdFed to host a grand opening celebration and ribbon-cutting ceremony with dates to be announced early next year.
