Latke Vodka Hanukkah Celebration for Young Jewish Singles and Couples at Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center

Most people have fond childhood memories of Hanukkah – lighting the menorah, saying the blessings, and of course eating delicious gelt (chocolate coins) and sufganiyot (doughnuts).

This year, Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center’s Young Professionals group, under the leadership of Chairman of the Board William Landa, President Laurence Herrup, Rabbi Jonathan Berkun, Cantor David Muchnick, and Executive Vice President, Dr. Amir Baron, will be putting an adult twist on the childhood favorite. The Aventura Turnberry Jewish Center Young Professionals group is hosting Latke Vodka, a chic Hanukkah celebration for young Jewish singles and couples, on Friday, December 3 at 8:30 pm.

Enjoy the spirited Friday Night Live service with Rabbi Jonathan Berkun on guitar and Cantor David Muchnick on keyboard. Following services, the exciting Hanukkah party will feature specialty cocktails, delicious latkes, doughnut bar, music and menorah lighting, and dreidel and gelt gaming.

L’Chaim Kosher Vodka is generously supplying the vodka to add a festive twist to this chic cocktail party. Ahost committee including singles as well as couples who were recently married by Rabbi Jonathan Berkun, are helping to plan and publicize. Among the hosts are Jonathan Broder, Rachel Charlupksi, Samantha and Matthew Flax, Lindsey Herrup, Channing Norton, Adam Mait, Cory Papunen, Jonathan Raiffe, Silvia Rosenthal, Jessica Rozental, Nava Sabag, and A.J. Yolofsky and Dr. Jennifer Schaumberg.

Although this gathering is for adults, ATJC will be helping local children have a happy Hanukkah too. Optional donations of new, unwrapped toys to benefit under-privileged children through Jewish Community Service Kosher Food Bank will be accepted at the event. Latka Vodka is $18 per person. Dietary laws observed. Please RSVP by December 3rd at 12 noon to ATJC: 305-937-1880, rsvp@atjc.org
