Miami-Dade Public Library System celebrates Women’s History MonthThe Miami-Dade Public Library System is celebrating Women’s History Month throughout March at multiple branch locations. The Miami Beach regional branch will host a Meet-and-Greet every Thursday in March featuring role play with a famous woman from history, including Jane Goodall, Rosalind Franklin and Sophie Scholl. The Northeast Dade-Aventura branch, Martina Mathisen will staged a one-woman performance by Martina Mathisen of The Six Wives of Henry VIII . They’ve also hosted movie screenings at various branch locations, including A League of Their Own in Miami Beach and Amelia, a bio-pic about Amelia Earhart, will take place at the North Shore branch on March 25. Browse all library events in March.
