At the School Board Meeting of June 18, 2024, School Board Member Danny Espino, District 5, proffered agenda item B-5, recognizing Victoria Sofia Morales of Ronald Reagan Doral Senior High School.
Victoria Sofia Morales is an exceptionally talented and accomplished graduate of Ronald Reagan Doral Senior High School. She arrived in Miami from Mexico City in 2020, and from day one, her intellectual curiosity and determination have been the driving force behind her extraordinary scholastic journey.
Victoria graduated from Ronald Reagan Doral’s Cambridge Program with Summa Cum Laude honors, the highest distinction a graduate can receive, reserved for the top 5% of students in a graduating class. She is also a graduate of the dual enrollment program Pathways to College, earning her Associate of Arts degree alongside her high school diploma.
Adding to her list of remarkable achievements, Victoria’s commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom and into sports where she excels in tennis, swimming, and badminton. She was named the winner of the Scholar-Athlete Award of the Junior Orange Bowl and winner of the Doral Mayoral Environmental Scholarship.
Victoria graduated with a perfect 4.0 Unweighted GPA and a 5.17 Weighted GPA, in addition to having completed 679 community service hours. She was admitted to the University of Florida where she plans to pursue a degree in Bio-Medical Engineering with the goal of going to medical school and becoming a pediatrician.
This resolution celebrates Victoria Sofia Morales as a distinguished member of the Ronald Reagan Doral Senior High School Class of 2024. Victoria’s outstanding academic achievements, realized in three short years, are a testament to her intellectual prowess and determination and to the richness and strength of the academic opportunities offered by Miami-Dade County Public Schools.
