This Sunday, December 5, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, the City of Aventura will welcome back a cast of superheroes for a special event to vaccinate children ages 5-11 with the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. This event is for children who received their first dose at the city’s November 14 event.
A collection of superheroes will greet children in costume as they do their part to protect themselves and their community by getting vaccinated. Following their vaccination, kids will be returned to their parents after being fed immense amounts of sugar via snow cones, cotton candy, and popcorn, and joining our DJ for giant backyard Jenga, Connect Four, and other games as part of a celebration of their newfound superhero status.
92 children received their first dose at the city’s initial event. Nearly all of them are expected to return to receive their second dose on Sunday.
