Independent and Assisted Living Communities of the Miami-based owner and operator, The Palace Group, have earned the highest rating from U.S. News & World Report’s Best Senior Living publication.

This is the publication’s second year and the second time The Palace Group’s communities in Weston, Coral Gables, Miami and Homestead have received the prestigious honor.

The Palace at Weston opened in 2021 and received “Best Senior Living” awards for Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care. The Palace Gardens in Homestead was awarded “Best Assisted Living” and “Best Memory Care,” and recognition for “Best Independent Living” was awarded to The Palace Suites in Kendall and The Palace at Coral Gables.

The new “Best Senior Living Consumer Guide” with ratings was created by U.S. News to help fill an information gap and provide comprehensive and transparent data to help older consumers and their families identify high-quality senior living communities that meet their needs and preferences.

Residents and families from over 3,000 independent, assisted and memory care communities were surveyed. They were asked to rate their experience with the things that matter most – the kindness of staff; variety of activities; quality of the food and dining experience; whether local transportation is provided to doctor’s appointments, grocery stores or other daily needs; the quality of on-site caregiving and more. The top-rated communities for each level of care have been rated Best Senior Living in their categories.

“We are thrilled to receive this recognition for being the “Best” at all five of our independent and assisted living communities,” said Helen Shaham, president of The Palace Group. “Our team members strive to excel in providing exceptional care and service. They are simply remarkable, and we owe them so much.”

For more than 30 years, U.S. News has served the American public as an unbiased arbiter of quality across a variety of important choices. Whether picking a college, selecting a hospital or moving to a nursing home, consumers go to U.S. News to research and make consequential life decisions.

“Families have limited information when comparing independent living, assisted living, and memory care communities and having ratings such as those provided by U.S. News & World Report fill this informational gap,” added Shaham. “It’s so valuable to have comprehensive and transparent data to help older consumers and their families identify high-quality senior living communities that meet their needs and preferences.”
