We all have an expiration date just like the food, medicines and products that we buy in the stores. The expiration date means that if you use the product past that date it may not be 100% effective. It may not produce the desired or promised result. It may also mean that the item is bad and has decayed or deteriorated.
People have expiration dates as well. They are part of their life, relationships and jobs. Everyone has a different date. Knowing this, should motivate you to make the most of your time. Try not to fritter away your life. Try not to waste your talents or your opportunities. Don’t squander, misuse or throw away your life or energy on unimportant and unproductive pursuits. Don’t neglect that which is truly important and has value. With this in mind, spend your time and efforts wisely. Avoid that which is insignificant, banal and inconsequential. Be discriminating. “Trivial Pursuits is a game not a lifestyle.
There are things that you can due to extend the life of most products. For instance, if they are very perishable, you can keep them in the back of the refrigerator where it is colder. If it is a machine or a car, you can make sure that it is serviced and well-maintained on a regular basis. You can take care of it. You can make sure that it has everything it needs to function well.
Do whatever you can to take care of yourself and to extend not only your life but the quality of your life. You should be ever mindful of the expiration dates that exist in all aspects of your own existence and in your relationships. Don’t waste your time. Make sure you do something of importance for yourself and for others. Make sure that you experience all of the things you love as much as possible. Do your best and you will live without regrets and you will die without regrets.
