In addition to showcasing the latest in luxury craft, the Miami International Boat Show, held Feb. 17-21 at the Miami Beach Convention Center, will give boating enthusiasts a chance to get to know more about the Williams Island Marina and the new upgrades that have recently been finished there.
“There’s no better place to preview the new boating season,” says Bill Draughon, marina manager for Williams Island Marina, “so it’s a great time to drop in and talk to us. We’ll be set up in Booth 1904 in the Dive and Travel Area.”
Owners of larger vessels, he says, will be pleased to know that Williams Island recently added 600 feet of new dockage.
“Vessels up to 160 feet in length are welcome,” Draughon said, “and those under 60 feet can expect reduced rates.”
The upgrades, he says, also include changes to electrical services.
“We’re now providing three-phase power to 1,000 feet of the docks,” Draughon says. “Also new is a pump-out system at 22 slips in our North Marina area.”
No residency requirements apply at the marina, he adds, and those who choose to dock there can enjoy many of the fabulous Williams Island amenities at no additional charge. They include club membership and access to three restaurants, the spa, the tennis courts and all swimming pools.
The marina, Draughon says, is spread around the 80-acre island, which proudly sports the nickname of The Florida Riviera.
