FirstService Residential publishes industry-leading Benchmarking GuideFrom high-rise condominiums to active lifestyle communities, FirstService Residential partners with community association boards to deliver meaningful services and resources that enhance the value of every property in its care.

FirstService Residential recently published The Definitive Guide to Florida Condominium & HOA Operating Spend, a first-of-its-kind industry guide reporting on community association expenses using the data from the thousands of community associations it manages.

Also known as The Benchmarking Guide, it provides association managers and board members with a look at what communities in Florida are spending for individual budget line items – based on construction type, location, age and number of units – to compare to their own spend.

“We believe the compiling and publication of this data exemplifies the value that a partnership with FirstService Residential brings to our communities,” said David Diestel, regional president, South. “More than that, this Benchmarking Guide is what many of our boards expect from us – our insights as the leader in association management. Furthermore, publishing this Guide is part of our larger responsibility to raise the bar for professionalism in the industry.”

The Benchmarking Guide includes industry reports that identify trends across some of the most significant line items in an association’s budget – insurance, utilities, cable television, elevator maintenance, and trash collection. It also guides community association boards on making decisions as to how to balance assessments with investments in resident lifestyle and services.
