Paris-based French gallery, 55Bellechasse, held a charity auction to benefit Chapman Partnership, and help the organization deliver critical programs and services that lead to self-sufficiency for the homeless men, women and children residing at their two centers.
As part of an Art Basel and Art Miami celebration, 55Bellechasse gathered a select crowd of collectors and art lovers for a private exhibition and auction charity cocktail. The event offered its guests the opportunity to meet with two of its artists, Niloufar Banisadr and Jon Davis, and helped raise money to benefit Chapman Partnership, a non-profit organization that empowers the homeless.
The live auction successfully raised funds by selling some of its best works including a photo from the series Les Voyages de Niloufar by the Iranian photograph Niloufar Banisadr, and two drawings by the Colombian artist David-Gomez Ramirez and French artist Pascal Vochelet.
The donated funds will allow Chapman Partnership to purchase meals to feed the 800 residents for a month and will provide them with move out kits to start their new lives in housing.
This donation is the beginning of a new partnership between Chapman and 55Bellechasse. The two organizations hope to continue to collaborate in the future.
The cocktail was hosted in a beautiful Miami Beach home, where international collectors mingled and were surrounded by beautiful artwork such as the enigmatic lighted boxes by Jon Davis.
Later in the evening, guests had the privilege of enjoying a performance by the Japanese artist Ayakamay and her team. Dressed in Kimonos with their faces obscured by a red scarf, the performers interacted with guests and made the event a memorable experience.
